Dom Sztuki Ludowej (House of Polish Folk Art) in Warsaw was established in 1953 and has been actively enterprising continuously since then, first as "Cepelia" and lates, since 1991 as "POLART". The Wares offered for sale are often speciments of various brands of Polish folk art. I have been a manager of this particular Trade Company since 1978 and being an ethnogapher I do my best to supply the store with goods created by outstanding and skilled artists of different traditional techniques. Our offer consists of speciments of such arts as sculpture, painting, embroidery, lace, weavings (kilims, tapestry's) regional uniforms, cut - outs, ceramics, china and many more. Among our clients are ethnographic museums, art galleries (either in Poland and from abroad) and individual customers. In 1987, Dom Sztuki Ludowej - as the only trade company of this kind - was rewarded with a diploma for "its achievements in dissemination of culture" by the Ministry of Culture and Arts. In 1988 I was personally rewarded the first prize in the Ignacy Rzecki competition for the best seller. POLART whose intention is to support Polish traditional folk art invites to our store and wish satisfactory purchases. Kazimierz Siewiera |
